This summer, dive into reading with the Carteret County Public Library’s Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program! The program blends education and fun with a marine-themed adventure that includes learning about ocean life, animals, and how we can help protect our natural resources.
Students of all ages can participate by picking up a reading log from any Carteret County library branch starting June 13. As they read, they’ll track their progress for a chance to win exciting prizes, including entries into the Grand Prize drawing at the end of the summer!

If you bring your completed summer reading log back to school in August and share it with Mrs. Montero, you’ll be invited to an Ice Cream Sundae Celebration to recognize your summer reading success! 🍦📖
From visits by the N.C. Aquarium to Titanic talks by a historian, the program is packed with exciting guest presentations and activities for all age levels.
