Parent Advisory Council
The Newport Middle School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a group of parents that meets monthly with the school administration to receive updates and give feedback on school programs. PAC will be meeting the third Thursday of every month. (See dates below) For a list of names and email addresses of your NMS 23-24 Council Members please click here. If you have any praises, concerns, ideas, or anything you would like brought up in the meeting, please reach out to them as they are the voice of the Eagle Parents.

Fall Book Fair Dates
Save the date for our Fall Book Fair from September 28th to October 4th! Don't miss your chance to shop after school during our "Meet the Teacher Night" on Tuesday, October 3rd. Come and support our school's library as we celebrate the joy of reading together. See you there!

School Meal Information
Meals (excluding Pre-K) are no longer FREE! Set up your student meal account today!!
Student meal prices are no longer waived for 2023-2024 school year for all schools, K-12. Pandemic USDA waivers and Community Eligibility Program (CEP) eligibility has ended. So, what do you need to do?

*Fill out a meal application if you think you are eligible for free and reduced meals. You must do this every year. ( Using SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid benefit? You're already eligible electronically.) To find the meal application, go to https://linqconnect.com/

*Make sure your address in PowerSchool is correct with your school, or you won't receive information about your meal status

Please note: Some teachers may have individual "requests" for specific items needed in their classrooms. Those lists or items will be discussed at open house or on the first day of school.
