Mrs. Montero is the media specialist/librarian at Newport Middle School. This will be her second year at Newport Middle School. Originally from the small town of Trenton, North Carolina, Mrs. Montero moved to Carteret County with her family in 2020. She loves living on the beautiful NC Crystal Coast where she enjoys kayaking, reading, writing, blogging, cooking, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Montero graduated from East Carolina University with a B.A. in English, MAT in Secondary English Education, and a graduate certificate in Teaching English in the Two-Year College. She completed her Master of Library Science degree at Appalachian State University. She is a certified school and public librarian. She loves being in the school library and being a part of all of the fun, innovative opportunities. Mrs. Montero is grateful to be a part of the Eagle family!
